ATTENTION:
**Procédure pour réparer le bug concernant le délai entre le volant et le début d'un stage dans RC2000 Championship
sous Win Xp (sp2).**

Ce patch fonctionne avec les volants Logitech Momo Racing(USB) et Guillemot Race Leader (USB) sous
le Logitech profiler v.5.00.182 et une carte Ati-AIW 9200 128DDR (testé le 12mars2007). Ce patch peut également fonctionner avec d'autres volants/cartes, à vous de tester. 
Il permet de réparer le bug qui apparait lors d'une deuxième course et les suivantes; à ce moment, le volant cesse de fonctionner pendant plusieurs secondes/minutes lors du décompte de départ d'un stage.

Procédure pour QfixApp.exe:
(le fichier original provient du cd Win Xp pro sous \support\tools )

Installer le "Application Compatibility Toolkit.msi" et ouvrir le programme QfixApp.exe

1)Sélectionner "Ral.exe" dans le dossier d'installation du jeu comme programme à réparer.
2)Dans la liste, Cochez seulement la case "WIN98"
3)Sous l'onglet "fixes", clickez sur CLEAR
4)Dans la liste, sélectionnez "LowerThreadPriority". Clickez ensuite sur le bouton "RUN". le jeu va s'ouvrir. Si vous avez la version CD du jeu, mettez le cd dans le lecteur.
5)Jouez un stage du jeu (par exemple, Fogo qui est très court) au complet.  
6)Sortez du jeu et clickez sur le bouton "ADVANCED".
7)Clickez sur le bouton "Create Fix Support" et acceptez d'enregistrer le fichier dans le registre de windows. Le patch est maintenant inscrit et devrait normalement faire le boulot à chaque fois que vous entrez dans le jeu. Une entrée sera également inscrite dans "Ajout/Suppression de programmes" au cas où vous voudriez le désinstaller.

 Si le patch ne fonctionne pas, réinstaller le jeu complètement (avec le patch 5.30 et le no-cd), remettez vos dossiers SAVEDATA et VAR (si vous ne voulez pas tout recommencer!!) et suivez la procédure ci-dessus.

I am sure this is the permanent solution for input problems running Rally Championship with XP. You can of course alt tab out of RC at the menu stage and change the priority as it's running but this fix only has to be done once and it will continue to work every time. It has eliminated the delay at the start before the controller wakes up plus the occasional freezes of the steering input. I'm not using any compatibility fixes other than this one. Many thanks to lots of other people on HG forums; they are much better at this than me and compiled most of this information.

You will need to download and install the Windows Application Compatibility Toolkit from Microsoft's website http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...arch&ordinal=31 this is a 6.62Mb download
Save the file somewhere safe it is named "act26" run this application it will install various components and give you a shortcut in your programs group to the "Windows Application Compatibility Toolkit" strangely there is no shortcut to the program we need to use. You will have to search your HDD for the program "QFixApp.exe" and run it, then follow the instructions to use the QFixApp tool to apply this fix. 


1) Select "Ral.exe" as the file you wish to apply this fix for.
2) Under the "Fixes" tab select the "Clear" button.
3) Select "LowerThreadPriority" and then the "Run" button. If you are not running the No CD version make sure you have the Rally CD in the drive. The game should work correctly.
4) Exit the game and select "Advanced" button.
5) Select "Create Fix Support" button and this will add a registry entry so that this fix is used every time the game is run. It will also add an item to the "Add/Remove software" list in the control panel.
